    Position Summary:

    Our community bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Vendor Relationship Manager.

    This individual contributor will manage our Vendor Relationships. As the Vendor Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Vendor Management program and framework. The Manager will coordinate with business and risk partners across the company to effectively manage Vendors and Third-Party Risks.


    RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Develop, maintain, and oversee a comprehensive Vendor Management program that aligns with the bank's enterprise risk appetite and regulatory expectationsDevelop and maintain a Vendor Management framework, function, and practices that comply with relevant laws, regulations, and the Inter agency Guidance on Third-

    Party Relationships:
    Risk Management guidance, including OCC Bulletin , OCC Bulletin , FDIC guidance, and Federal Reserve Board expectations Keep apprised of emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices related to third-party risk managementImplement a robust third-party risk assessment process with a scope that emphases the stages of the Third-Party Relationship Risk Management Life Cycle (due diligence and third-party selection, contract negotiation, ongoing monitoring, termination, and planning)

    Collaborate with First-Line-of-Defense business units (BUs) to identify, manage, and mitigate risks associated with third-party engagementsPartner with key stakeholders to implement tools and automation that support effective management and oversight of vendors and third-party risks and mature processes to scale the programFoster a strong control environment by promoting through credible challenge the placement of appropriate contractual protections such as service level agreements (SLAs), Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), indemnities, and insurance requirementsProvide subject-matter expertise on third-party risk management practices to BUs and senior managementConduct regular reporting to senior management and appropriate committees on the status of third-party risks, the effectiveness of the control environment, the results of risk assessments, and any changes on the regulatory and third-party environment including the detection of emerging risksAnalyze/evaluate/monitor/report third party exposure, trends, risks and key concerns to create sustainable risk mitigation recommendations to stakeholders, including leadershipTrack/manage third party compliance to policies and contract terms; report out to the Business Owner, Relationship Manager, Supply Chain Management and Third-Party Program Skills:

    Education and Experience Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is required Minimum of 4 years of experience in a risk management or compliance role within the financial services industry, with a focus on third-party risk management In-depth knowledge of Federal Reserve Board regulations, OCC, and FDIC guidance related to third-party risk management, including but not limited to OCC Bulletin and FDIC FIL Strong understanding of industry best practices for third-party risk managementProven ability to analyze complex third-party relationships and assess associated risks, with a keen eye for detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization Proficiency in risk management tools and systems, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPointAbility and desire to learn continuously and adapt in a fast-changing environment
