    Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    :

    Under immediate supervision performs preventative maintenance on carts and ensures carts are available for rental. Performs janitorial duties in clubhouse as directed.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ability to perform preventative maintenance on carts such as changing flats, checking batteries for water and cleaning carts; ability to maintain necessary records on maintenance performed.
    2. Ability to clean carts following each use and make daily inspections of carts for damage.
    3. Ability to drive carts to clubhouse for rental and return to cart garage for night storage.

    OTHER FUNCTIONS:

    4. Ability to perform janitorial duties inside and outside the clubhouse as needed or directed.
    5. Ability to perform related duties such as advising patrons of proper operation of carts and advising supervisor of parts needed.
    6. Ability to assist with golf bag loading.
    7. Ability to provide golf course directional assistance for tournaments and events.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of basic electricity.
  • Knowledge of small engines.
  • Skill in communicating with other city employees and the public.
  • Skill in performing routine custodial duties.
  • Ability to follow specific oral instructions.
  • Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including, but not limited to, carrying, cleaning, kneeling, lifting, seeing and walking.
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, golf cart, air compressor, hand tools, power tools and vacuum cleaner.
  • Ability to lift or exert forces equivalent to lifting up to 20 pounds; and to push/pull 25 pounds for 5 feet.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environment.
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle.
  • Incumbent is exposed to mechanical, electrical, explosive, fume/odor, dust/mites, and chemical hazards.

    • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    High School Diploma or GED, plus a minimum of six (6) months related experience. Possession of a valid Texas Operator's, Class C, License.

    PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING INCLUDES: Criminal Background, Physical, Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Drug and Alcohol testing (MVR).
