- Coordinates and provides classroom and one-on-one training on personal computer applications; develops lesson plans and prepares training resources and tools; delivers training utilizing appropriate adult learning concepts and facilitation skills; provides personal tutoring in computer skills as requested.
- Develops new training programs and materials; develops, improves, and updates classroom courses, course content, and delivery methods; develops training videos and newsletters; evaluates effectiveness of training classes and programs, and revises content and methods as needed.
- Evaluates training programs, and assures that they are results-oriented and return value to the organization.
- Supports the departmental operations with regular and timely attendance.
- Must have and maintain a cell phone for City use to hold this position.
- Supports the relationship between the City of Odessa and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and City staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Principles of curriculum development, technical training and adult learning theory.
- Software applications and operating systems used at City, including MS Office Suite and GIS.
