Job Description
Job DescriptionThe primary purpose of this position is to offer application engineering and inside sales support for Evapco's CO2 family of industrial refrigeration products. This includes Evapco LMP Purity Transcritical CO2 racks, Gas Coolers and Evaporators. This role also develops relationships with outside sales representatives, customers, and inter-company sales support teams.The Application and Marketing Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing first-class customer service, technical support for our sales representative force, quotations, order and submittal management, sales presentations, and building customer relations. The position will involve constant interaction with both customers and sales representatives. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must possess highly effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to network and coordinate sales efforts within EVAPCO's various Industrial Refrigeration divisions in North America. The Industrial Refrigeration Marketing Team interfaces with all departments within EVAPCO including: Evapco LMP, Product Development Engineering, IT (software and website support), Customer Solutions, and Manufacturing to name a few.
If the candidate possesses relevant work experience, this position could be considered for the title of Sr. Marketing Engineer or an Assistant Manager.
Key responsibilities
• Provide timely and accurate responses to representative sales force.
• Give technical sales presentations to customers.
• Check orders and submittals for accuracy.
• Provide timely quotations.
• Participate in industry related trade associations.
• Create marketing brochures, engineering bulletins, and technical white papers.
• Research industry and provide comparative analysis on other forms of technology.
• Evaluate project specifications, product schedules and design drawings.
• Test unit selection software during updates.
• Travel to North American representative offices and customers.
Reporting structure
• The candidate will report to a Sales Manager at Evapco Inc. The candidate will work closely with the Evapco LMP Sales Manager.
• Number of direct reports - None
• Marketing department size – 10-15
• Peers – Application & Marketing Engineers, Regional Sales Managers
Education: (Minimum requirement)
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Additional Education in Controls, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or Business a Plus).
• The ideal candidate would have previous experience in an inside sales or application engineering role in manufacturing or the HVAC/R industry.
• Fully competent in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software such as Evapco's selection software.
Position Requirements
• Aptitude in Heat Transfer Principles, Thermodynamics, and System Controls.
• Exposure to relevant organizations such as IIAR, RETA, ASHRAE a plus.
