    The Project Engineer executes projects, that include: specifying, selecting, building, installing and commissioning equipment. Provides daily Engineering support to Operations and Maintenance teams. Improves productivity through automation and process improvements; increase capacity through new equipment installations; and innovate by designing improved methods.

    An ideal candidate will be able to work well with other engineers as well as multiple other departments and contractors to expedite the completion of logistically complex projects.

    This position also works directly with customers on the development of new products.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and execute Engineering projects related to the production processes.
    • Work closely with Operations to design improvements that will increase efficiencies.
    • Assist in identifying and implementing future innovations in the automation of Operations, as well as ways to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
    • Manage and execute engineering projects to install, commission and improve control systems.
    • Develop schedules, work break down structures, deliverables, budget, and resource plans.
    • Develop the scope of the Engineering projects assigned and execute projects on-schedule and under budget.
    • Prepare technical analysis and other documentation that are needed to define the scope of an engineering project or to resolve a technical issue.
    • Be hands-on in the design, build, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of all equipment and processes.
    • Effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Proper balancing of priorities is critical to ensure that project performance aligns with the needs of the business.
    Position reports to the Director of Technical Services


    Required Experience:
    Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD (AutoCAD preferred).
