- Oversees and is accountable for overall performance of defined scope(s) of work as indicated by customer satisfaction, quality of products and/or services provided, level of profitability attained, and other such measures as may be designated
- Serves as primary customer contact and manages overall company customer interface relationships for defined scope(s) of work to assure responsiveness to customer needs and effective professional conduct
- Mentors and coaches assigned personnel to enhance performance and encourage professional development
- Develops project schedules
- Represents the company as the primary customer contact on assigned engineering contracts or programs
- Provides programmatic direction to organizational elements executing processes required to provide products and services that meet contract quality, performance, schedule, and cost requirements
- Establishes metrics and monitors progress to assure contract compliance, customer satisfaction, and attainment of company commitments and objectives
- Provides functional and technical guidance to engineering staff and management
- Provides the project control and contract administration necessary to manage a high-volume, multiple-task processes for a large, diversified team so that the cost, schedule, and quality requirements are tracked
- Provides real-time monitoring of status/deliverables, tracking the quality of work products and gauging overall customer satisfaction Requirements MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or an Engineering Discipline
- Five+ (5+) years of experience performing work in each of the following areas: • Managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
- Supporting Department of the Navy (DoN) and Department of Defense (DoD) programs
- Performing cost estimates associated with Level of Effort (LoE), scope of work, and associated requirements
- Managing multiple Technical Instructions (Tis).
- Completing projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Supporting US Navy shipboard and shore-based installation programs
- Demonstrated expertise developing project schedules and assigning work
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching junior personnel
- Possess an active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Possess a current DoD Secret security clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and leadership skillsDESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in Business, Management, or an Engineering Discipline
- Ten years of experience performing work in each of the following areas: • Managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
