    School Registered Nurse (RN) - 1:1 Support Needed (Elementary School)

    Provide Vital Care and Make a Difference in a Child's Life

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential one-on-one care for a student in an elementary school setting.

    About the Role:

    In this role hours per week), you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of a 9-year-old boy who requires comprehensive medical support throughout the school day (9:15 am - 3:15 pm, Monday-Friday). This is a temporary position needed ASAP and lasting through the End of School Year (EOSY) with the strong possibility of renewal for the school year.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct nursing care to the student throughout the school day, including:
      • Wheelchair assistance
      • Seizure monitoring and intervention
      • Medication administration(as prescribed)
      • Toileting and changing
      • G-tube feeding
      • Tracheostomy care
      • Oral suctioningas needed
    • Collaborate with the student's medical team, teachers, and family to ensure a cohesive care plan
    • Document all care provided and maintain accurate medical records
    • Maintain a positive and supportive environment for the student

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the school is located
    • Experience working with children in a school setting (preferred)
    • Pediatric nursing experience (highly preferred)
    • Familiarity with the care needs outlined above (wheelchair, seizures, g-tube, trach care, etc.)
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
    • Compassionate and patient demeanor
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
