    SUMMARY

    Reporting to the Director, Space Activation and Transition, the primary purpose of the Manager, Space Activation & Transition position is to provide leadership and coordination for deactivation, equipment planning coordination, activation efforts related to capital and non-capital projects. Activation and deactivation efforts include:

    · Coordination with project team

    · Medical equipment planning coordination

    · Equipment planning coordination

    · Move management procurement

    · Vendor installation coordination

    · Coordinating inventory management

    · Scheduling and move coordination

    · Transitioning space after construction to operations

    · Budgeting and contract management

    · Site decommissioning

    · Related project communications

    This role is also responsible for the supervision of staff and consultants who support the services stated above.

    JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

    Medical Equipment/FFE Planning

    Coordinate Equipment Planning services either directly with MEQ firm or through A/E for projects. Liaison for overall process for the procurement and installation of equipment, including documenting inventories, review of floor plans, budgets, oversight of requisitions and schedules coordination and compliance review of specifications, drawings, submittals, and schedules. Liaison between client departments, consultants, regulatory agencies, clinical engineering, and other stakeholders. Coordinate with IT, Clinical Engineering, and asset management on the commissioning and decommissioning of equipment.

    Move Coordination/Activation/Deactivation

    Overall coordination with capital project team and communication of all move coordination and site deactivation strategies and plans. Where needed, selection of move management vendor. Manage move management vendor. Work may include site inspections, site walks, punch-lists, asset transfers, work orders, safety clearances, regulatory compliance, development of all deactivation and move schedules, tracking of issues and development of communications as required. Work with all stakeholders to coordinate orientation and training for staff and building occupants.

    Documentation

    Assist with contract management including related RFQ/RFP's, selection on processes and contracts, invoice/budget tracking reports, and schedules. Document Management including project reports, schedules, space reports, meeting minutes, and project file organization. Transition space after construction to operations.

    Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION

    Required: Bachelor's degree.

    Preferred: Master's degree.

    EXPERIENCE

    Required: Five years healthcare planning and designing or related experience to include two years supervisory or project management experience. With preferred degree, three years healthcare planning and designing or related experience to include two years supervisory or project management. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.

    Preferred: Five years of project/program management experience.
