    Description
    As a Roadway Engineer (PE) in the Tallahassee Group, you will provide design and production support in the development of construction plans for roadway projects throughout North Florida for clients such as FDOT and local municipalities and counties. You will also assist with project management duties and participate in marketing and project pursuit activities.

    Your Primary Responsibilities will include

    • Perform engineering design including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
    • Preparing of project documentation including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Package, Design Variations and Exceptions, Estimated Quantity Reports, and Project Meeting minutes.
    • Collaborating with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
    • Directing and mentoring less-experienced support staff.
    • Supporting business development efforts including proposal pursuit efforts.
    • assist with project management duties.
    • participate in business development and project pursuit activities.


    What you'll need

    • Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
    • 5 years Post Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license experience
    • 10 years of FDOT design experience (desired)
    • Proficiency in Bentley's MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
    • Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
