    Welcome to the job opportunity for a General Manager at our company!

    Position Purpose

    As the General Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one of our locations. You'll work within established policies and procedures, ensuring a full team is in place by recruiting, training, and managing hourly associates. Your role involves upholding standards in customer service, controlling food and labor costs, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and sanitary environment.

    Accountabilities/Duties

    Financial

  • Abide by company standards to drive sales and manage costs effectively, covering areas such as food, beverage, labor, and supplies.
  • Handle financial tasks accurately and timely, such as invoices, inventory, and payroll, in line with company policies.
  • Food Safety and Planning

  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, cleanliness standards, and high-quality food preparation and service.
  • Maintain a clean and professional image for the restaurant through proper maintenance and control of food and beverage costs.
  • Guest Service

  • Foster a positive guest experience and address any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead your team to identify and capitalize on opportunities for improvement.
  • Operational

  • Implement security measures to safeguard employees, guests, and assets.
  • Promote a safe work environment by preventing accidents and promptly addressing any incidents.
  • Manage daily operations, uphold quality standards, and handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Maintain the café's physical standards and promptly communicate with superiors regarding any relevant issues.
  • Keep the Director of Operations informed and suggest solutions to challenges.
  • Personnel

  • Provide guidance to employees and managers, overseeing their training and performance.
  • Supervise managers, handle hiring, training, and if needed, termination of staff.
  • Conduct orientations and training sessions for new employees.
  • Offer continuous feedback, set performance expectations, and conduct reviews for employees and managers.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet sales demands and company standards.
  • General Requirements

  • Hold a ServSafe Certification.
  • Ideally have a Bachelor's or Associate's degree, though a mix of experience and education will be considered.
  • Possess knowledge of computers and software applications.
  • Be skilled in various restaurant functions, including food preparation, purchasing, and personnel management.
  • Have a valid driver's license, authorization to work in the United States, and willingness to undergo a background check.
