    A Principal Engineer is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Arden Hills, MN area.

    The Principal Engineer role in BLE Telemetry Systems for the medical device industry entails designing, developing, and integrating Bluetooth Low Energy technology into medical devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and mentoring staff.

    responsibilities:

    • Designing and developing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) telemetry systems for medical devices.
    • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
    • Collaborating with hardware and firmware engineers to define system requirements and develop specifications for BLE-based communication protocols.
    • Conducting feasibility studies and evaluating hardware and software solutions for BLE integration.
    • Creating detailed system architecture and design documentation.
    • Developing algorithms and protocols for data transmission and error handling within the BLE telemetry system.
    • Performing system-level testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting.

    Skills:

    • Proven experience in designing BLE telemetry systems for medical devices or related industry.
    • strong knowledge of BLE protocols, standards, and profiles.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C, or Python.
    • Familiarity with wireless communication technologies and protocols.
    • Understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA guidelines).
    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

    Education and Experience:
