    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the day-to-day technical maintenance, minor and major repair of all Slot components of all slot machines as well as training Slot Technicians while providing World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees & guests.

    maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by the Isleta Resort and Casino.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.   • Performs daily and continuous general and technical maintenance and repairs on all slots accounting system.
  • Responsible for all technical maintenance, advanced repair of slot machines and other gaming related equipment.
  • Responsible for repairing monitors, LCD's, power supplies, bill validators, printers, electrical equipment, and other peripheral devices associated with slot machines and related equipment. Investigates machines with par deviations.
  • Performs advanced slot machine troubleshooting, repair, board level repair including soldering and the ability to fully comprehend schematics.
  • Safeguards all assets located within the department to include, but is not limited to, monies, keys, and all other properties.
  • Works in conjunction with the Slot Compliance Coordinator to ensure all parts are available for down machines
  • Maintains slot machines inventories.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the Isleta Resort and Casino's Policies and Procedures.
  • Assists in the training of new Slot Technician Interns, Slot Floor Technicians, and floor personnel as directed.
  • Assists Pueblo of Isleta Regulatory Inspectors in testing of game software.
  • Ensures an open and welcoming atmosphere that promotes skill enhancement.
  • Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Gives basic instruction on all Slot Machines.,
  • Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions with all guests
  • Performs other duties as required.
    Accountability and Supervision:
  • None Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent, required.
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics or related field, preferred.
  • Three (3) years mechanical and/or electronic skills, relating to the repair of state-of-the-art gaming equipment, preferred.
  • Three (3) years prior slot technician experience, required
  • Or a combination of education, skills and experience.
    Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA. Required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
  • Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to communicate, in writing and verbally, in English and in an effective, informative, and professional manner and be able to convey denials and/or defuse hostile guest situations with ease and tact.
  • Must be well versed in the following equipment: Sencore: Oscilloscope, Capacitor & Inductor Analyzer, Triple Output DC Power Supply, Computer Monitor Analyzer, Variable Isolation Transformer, and Safety Analyzer
  • Must possess moderate computer skills and be able to operate Microsoft applications and software.
  • Must possess strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to fully comprehend schematics.
  • Must be able to safeguard assets located within the department to include, but is not limited to, monies, keys, and properties.
  • Must be able to communicate, in writing and verbally, in English and in an effective, informative, and professional manner and be able to convey denials and/or defuse hostile guest situations with ease and tact.
  • Must possess and exhibit a positive attitude towards internal and external guests at all times.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.
    Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must be able to push over 100 pounds with the assistance of a dolly.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and place 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
    Working Conditions: Smoke filled environment, exposure to various lights and sounds. Occasionally may deal with angry or hostile individuals. Must be on call at all times.
