- Help move projects toward completion by performing project and office administration tasks, including file management, maintaining project deliverables, and team collaboration.
- Scan client tax documentation.
- Retrieve tax documentation electronically through multiple platforms, including SafeSend and Suralink.
- Process tax returns - paper and electronically via SafeSend.
- Archive copies of tax returns in Suralink and CCH Engagement Permanent Folder.
- Roll forward Suralink tax return engagement folders on an annual basis.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of client engagement letters.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of individual tax organizers via SafeSend.
- Manage US Mail and FedEx for Tax Department - FedEx end of day drop-offs, at the local hub, can become a daily activity during the months of March, April, September, and October.
- Provide responsive, accurate, and approachable customer service.
- Consistently meet deadlines while maintaining high quality work, and client and team relations.
- Occasional phone assistance for lunch coverage.
- Provide occasional assistance to other employees for sick/vacation coverage.
- Other administrative tasks and special projects, as needed.
- College degree preferred but not required.
- 1+ years of experience in an Administrative Assistant or project coordination position preferred but not required. Professional services firm experience preferred and tax support experience a plus.
- High computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, required, and project management software experience preferred).
- Must be self-directed, autonomous, and motivated; able to multi-task, and highly detail oriented.
- Flexibility to handle projects, sometimes on short notice, providing support to Moore Colson professional staff.
- Proactive and exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed, including overtime and weekend hours during busy seasons (typically February-April and September-October).

This position will play an instrumental role in supporting the firm's long- term plans and will serve multiple partners, directors, and senior managers in our Tax practice area.
