- Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW)
- Grafton Correctional Institution (GCI)
- Madison Correctional Institution (MaCI)
- At the assigned correctional institution, provide alcohol and drug group counseling and other ancillary services to the participants on your caseload
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning on participants (documented in electronic health record)
- Monitor attendance and participation progress of the participants in the substance abuse programs
- Provide ongoing care planning
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (hours may vary)
- Therapeutic Communities are open-ended programs with a counselor to client ratio of 1:20
- Monitor activities of volunteers and oversee support/fellowship meetings

About Us:
The goal of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to lead a top-notch mental health and addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery system that is effective and appreciated by all Ohioans.
The Bureau of Correctional Recovery Services collaborates with inmates in Ohio's jails to foster a heightened sense of accountability and the capability to become law-abiding citizens.
Recovery Services - Therapeutic Community Correctional Program Coordinators implement evidence-based treatment methods in aiding prisoners in jail requiring substance abuse recovery services.

Duties of the Correctional Program Coordinator include:
Selected applicant(s) will be required to complete the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction's training at the Corrections Training Academy located in Orient, OH. This training is approximately 4 weeks in length.

Must possess current certification or credentials in one of the following: - Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) - Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III) - Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) - Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. - Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. - Professional Counselor (PC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. - Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. - Licensed Physician by State of Ohio Medical Board. - Licensed Psychologist by State of Ohio Board of Psychology. - Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing. - Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board. - Licensed Independent Marriage & Family Therapist licensed by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board.

Knowledge of social or behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field; community employment resources, social services policy & program planning & analysis; social program counseling; interviewing. Ability to identify issues, gather data, establish facts & make sound conclusions; manage emergencies & sensitive interactions with inmates/juveniles or family members; prepare clear, meaningful & accurate reports.
Unless mandated by law or union agreement, the initial salary will be set at the lowest rate of the salary range with incremental increases post-probation and subsequent successful annual assessments.
