    About the job:

    Red Hat's North American Services team is a Senior Consultant with a background in container infrastructure technologies to join us in the Livermore Valley.

    In this position, you will deliver solutions that solve our client's business challenges through hands-on technical implementation and enablement of recommended practices.

    You will be a vital promoter of adopting Red Hat's solutions for customers by using your technical expertise and interpersonal skills.

    Youll need to have a balance of solid technical experience, awareness of open source software solutions, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level.

    This position requires daily on-site work with clients located in Livermore, CA and an active DOE Q Clearance or an active DOD Top Secret Clearance that can get DOE Q reciprocity.

    Guide customers in building scalable, optimally managed solutions and adaptable to technological improvements using Red Hat technologiesContinuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologiesTravel to client locations Monday-ThursdayAfter joining Red Hat, You will undergo an intensive customized training program on Red Hat technologies and services solutions.

    Here's how your skill set will evolve and what you'll learn during your first year in the role:
    In two months, be prepared to join a project team by acquiring the following:Understanding of how to build production-ready technical solutions integrated with existing enterprise systemsLearn technologies and consulting skills to enhance your abilities through enablements designed and taught by Red Hat experts and Red Hat certificationGain exposure and collaboration within Red Hat Services & the larger organization through everyday networking and community eventsWithin six months, be ready to support customer success on a project by attaining the following:Successful, collaborative delivery of customer projects as a technical lead through expertise in Red Hats technologiesKnowledge of how a customer use case can be developed into a project plan and how those requirements align with Red Hats technologiesContinue expanding your knowledge and network, both internal and external, through enablement, communities, customers, and meet-upsWithin 12 months, demonstrate technical leadership by accomplishing the following:Successfully implementing complex, large-scale solutions in customer environmentsActive engagement and knowledge sharing with our internal and external communities of practice on lessons learned, best practices, and how-tosWhat you will bring:Experience with delivering an implementation based on an architectural designDemonstrated ability to lead a technical project, including collaborating on project timelines and maintaining project and technicaldocumentationAbility to identify stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project timelines and scope of workExperience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholdersKnowledge and a desire to mentorAssociate or Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a technical disciplineTechnical certifications like Security +, and network+Experience delivering successful modern cloud platform consulting engagementsExperience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivativePrior experience with source code management tools like GitlabExperience with or working knowledge of Ansible automationExperience with enterprise cloud solutions like Platform-as-a
    • ServiceExperience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and KubernetesKnowledge of networking principles such as TCP, DNS, DHCP, IPsExperience with Red Hat Identity Management (IdM)Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsThe salary range for this position in California is typically $127,000 $180,00.
