    IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician $750 Sign On Bonus

    At Princeton Medical Group, P.A. our mission has always been to deliver excellent medical care with compassion. We are a private medical practice with over 30 providers and 8 medical specialties. We are searching for dedicated and motivated employees to join our dynamic and growing team

    We are currently looking to hire a full time or part time IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to work in our Infusion Department

    We are offering a $750 sign on bonus for this position. The first half of the payment will be after 90 days with the organization in this position and the second half will be after 6 months with the organization.

    Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities:

    • Work under the direction/supervision of the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of this position.
    • Preparation of medications for patients as directed by the Pharmacy Manager.
    • Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability as directed by the Pharmacy Manager.
    • Completion of patient paperwork/authorizations related to patient.
    • Compounds medications, chemotherapy, and biotherapy using proper aseptic technique, under the guidance and instruction of the Pharmacy Manager.
    • Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager.
    • Perform mathematical calculations to determine appropriate drug measurements for compounding of ordered medications.
    • Follow and maintain procedures for missing, packaging, or labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager.
    • Conduct routine medication inventories including monitoring for drugs expiring, and assist with inventory control of medications in the infusion room, storage room, and satellite locations.
    • Assist Pharmacy Manager in ordering supplies and medication. Receive and restock medications.
    • Maintain any necessary Quality Assurance logs, including (but not limited to) cleaning logs, temperature logs, waste logs, expired and destroyed medication logs, and others.
    • Perform daily/weekly cleaning of infusion room and equipment as required per PMG's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Dispense medications as directed by Pharmacy Manager in the Medically Integrated Dispensary (MID).
    • Perform medication precertification as part of working in the MID.
    • Rotate between mixing responsibilities and MID responsibilities.
    • Participate in training and orientation of additional pharmacy technicians as needed.
    • Report issues and concerns to supervising Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager in a timely manner.
    • Maintain a good attendance record.
    • Other duties as assigned by Manager, etc.

    Pharmacy Technician Requirements:

    • High School Graduate/GED/ Equivalent Work
    • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program
    • New Jersey Board of Pharmacy Technician registration
    • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
    • Minimum 2 years of previous pharmacy technician experience, including IV compounding and mixing.
    • Proficiency in mathematical computations
    • Previous experience and knowledge of handling hazardous material (i.e. medications).
    • Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail)
    • Previous EMR experience; NextGen preferred
    • Excellent organization and communication skills
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Excellent customer service skills for dealing with both internal and external customers
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to solve problems.

    Schedule:

    • Full Time: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
    • Part Time: Preferred Hours: Monday-Friday 1pm-5pm, with ability to cover full time hours on occasion if needed.
    • Overtime as required
