- Provide direct supervision to Maintenance Technicians and other related positions as assigned.
- Work closely and cooperatively with Plant Manager, Production Manager(s), Maintenance Planner and Tool Crib to carry out plans and objectives.
- Supervise the development and management of maintenance techniques to maximize machine utilization and reliability.
- Manage the utilization of a full capability maintenance management software package, along with sound policies and practices, in order to maximize the overall effectiveness of the maintenance process.
- Manage the effectiveness of the spare parts inventory to ensure maximum parts availability and usage accountability, while minimizing inventory values.
- Develop, implement and monitor OSHA/ANSI safety procedures and safe work methods to achieve safety goals and objectives.
- Maintains maintenance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
- Maintains maintenance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Identify, negotiate and monitor contractors and contractor agreements.
- Integrate maintenance into part of the overall plant team and develop a partnership attitude with the group. It is a service organization.
- Help establish, define and implement process improve ideas across the plant.
- Help support capital improvement ideas with data from Tofino.
- Establish bench marks for tracking and monitoring maintenance efficiencies using Tofino and other tools.
- Establish and meet key machine maintenance objectives.
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
- Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
- Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments
- Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
- Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
- Experience with Manufacturing systems (Prefer experience in plastic extrusion operation)
- Working knowledge of PLC programing and field usage
- Strong knowledge and experience with hydraulic and fluid controls
- Strong leadership skills, which include ability to assess performance, administer personnel policies and develop personnel
- Demonstrated experience implementing Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) systems and Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs
- Knowledge of mechanical technologies, electrical/electronic technologies as they relate to manufacturing equipment applications
- Experience with building systems management and equipment maintenance
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and direct technical personnel
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and direction to the maintenance department.
Additional responsibilities include developing, implementing and managing maintenance work orders; providing complete preventive and predictive maintenance to all production machinery and production support equipment; equipment and cost reduction programs; and developing and monitoring budgets for Facilities and Production Maintenance Departments as well as capital projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 6 years of progressively responsible maintenance experience.
