Job Summary:

Supports the College Mission to serve students, employers, and the College community. Provides leadership and quality education and job skill training in a safe, clean, positive, and productive learning environment. Participate collaboratively and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and college partners to promote the general well-being of the department and the college.

Essential Functions:

1. Schedule use of Testing Room
2. Cooperates with the Assessment Center in scheduling skills exams.
3. Maintain/repair all manikins and simulation/lab equipment.
4. Performs skills competency evaluations for nursing assistant certification.
5. Must follow all federal regulations, state rules, and UNAR policies and procedures.
6. Communicate with faculty on an as-needed basis.
7. Must attend all required skills training conferences
8. Must be trained and found competent by the UNAR State Skills Examiner Specialist before any testing.
9. Possess knowledge of and maintain online video recording and electronic medical records that interface with lab/simulation activities.
10. Maintain current knowledge and expertise in the use and operation of manikins and equipment.
11. Participate in technical training.
12. Ordering Supplies and Equipment Associated with Training Programs
13. Proctoring student exams and ensuring testing/ lab policies and procedures are followed.
14. Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:

1. Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
2. Certifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the Utah Department of Professional Licensure required.
3. Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in long-term care and/or patients with chronic illness is required. Teaching experience preferred.
4. Essential Requirements: The position may require the ability to work a flexible schedule. Must be capable of performing routine physical activities associated with the training program, including the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds, and demonstrate proper physical requirements associated with performing job functions.
5. Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.

Environmental Factors:
Conventional Educational Environment. In some programs, employees may occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals and the hazards associated with their respective industry equipment.
