    Your Role and Responsibilities
    Start and end dates for this internship are during summer months)
    "May - August" or "June - September" for quarter system schools.
    The position is IBM US Office-based in Research Triangle Park, NC.

    As a DevOps Developer Developer intern, you will:

    Work with DevOps team maintaining and building tools to support and automate development activities in local and remote environments.
    Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate and deploy applications using DevOps methodology.
    Contribute to improve the CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) pipelines to meet development velocity.
    Learn and stay updated of DevOps technologies and trends.

    Highly motivated and have a passion for creating and supporting great products.

    Thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, and you have very strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Great at solving problems, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues.
    Have a basic understanding of software development and programming languages.
    Have the ability to learn new skills quickly and use the skills efficiently.

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    Entry-level experience with any of main scripting and programming languages (bash, python, go).
    Basic knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform...).
    Familiar with DevOps tooling like docker and git.
    Familiar with Linux operating system and command line tools.

    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
    Familiar with container orchestration platforms like kubernetes.
    Experience with infrastructure automation systems like Terraform.
    Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools (Tekton, github actions / CI,...).

    Location Statement


    Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

    IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.

    The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
