    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Basic shipping and receiving tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, verifying packaging slips and/or routers and contents, as well as packaging product for either outside processing or finished goods. Will demonstrate basic packaging skills such as part protection, verify packaging information, boxing, taping, wrapping, stenciling, banding, weighing, etc.
    • Work safely in accordance with plant safety guidelines including cardinal rules of safety.
    • Correctly interpret work instructions and verify documentation.
    • Work in a team environment, i.e., instructions and assist others as needed.
    • Unload trucks - (Verification of received goods).
    • Prepare materials shipping and verify Serial Numbers / Part Numbers.
    • Basic system transactions in AQCS or related systems.
    • Basic packaging tasks (weigh count, labeling, visual inspection etc.).
    • Creates basic shipping documentation.
    • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
    • Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation.

    Required Skills:

    • Basic language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions.
    • Forklift Certified (Internal)
    • Basic knowledge of shipping processes & equipment.
    • Basic computer skills and data entry.
    • Ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals.
    • Ability to navigate intranet to locate process documentation.

    Experience & Education:
    * High School Diploma or GED
    * 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience or shipping/receiving experience.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
    • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours a day.

    Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, power grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials and fine manipulation.
