Description
Plans, manages, and coordinates multifaceted program activities and personnel of classification and compensation; oversees annual benchmarking and cyclical review initiatives; reviews, analyzes, documents, and makes recommendations on classification initiatives in alignment with compensation strategies, legal compliance, policies, and procedures; continuously monitors internal equity and external market for competitiveness; oversees divisionwide organizational development; ensures that website communication is developed and current; provides guidance on the maintenance of job descriptions; develops and implements professional development; collaborates throughout the division and with outside entities to identify and implement best practices in compensation; exercises leadership to design, implement, assess, and revise programs or activities of the section.
Required
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, business management, business administration, or a related field.
Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in classification analysis, compensation administration, and organizational structure modeling, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.Knowledge of theories, procedures, practices, materials, methods, regulations, and/or legislation related to employment law and personnel management,
Knowledge of best practices, industry standards, and current trends related to classification and compensation.
Proficiency in the use of technology, data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
Excellent management, leadership, planning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and generate reports and presentations for leadership and School Board decision making by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating metrics and data.
Ability to utilize project management principles to implement strategies and accomplish goals.Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to foster a supportive and effective work environment that supports, trains, and develops teams
Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with culturally diverse school-based personnel, central office staff, outside school divisions, and professional organizations.
Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
Experience working in an educational environment (PreK-12 or higher ed).
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
SHRM CP and/or SHRM-SCP.

$107,544 - $163,603
