Engineering ManagerLocation: Chicago, IL (or Remote)

Estimated salary range:
$160,000 to $210,000 The salary offered for this position will be based on a candidates experience and skill demonstrated during interviews and other evaluationsWe are looking for an outstanding Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of ~10 talented engineers developing the loading software for the Ocient Hyperscale Data Warehouse.

While your primary focus will be on people and project management, the ability to comprehend and provide input on technical issues and challenges is a must-have in this position.

Qualifications:

BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field7+ years of industry experience developing enterprise grade software.2+ years of experience managing engineering teams and delivering high quality software for customers.

Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
Familiarity with C++, Java, Linux, and SQL.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, Github, and other Development, Code Management and Project Management toolsExperience managing feature development than spans multiple engineering teamsBonus Points:

Familiarity with Apache KafkaPrior experience developing or using data pipeline (ETL) solutionsHands-on experience in stream processing with an established framework (e.g.

Apache Flink, Kafka Streams)
