    Summary

    The primary focus of this role is to identify, develop and win new business opportunities, and to provide leadership to the organization, customers and market in formulating strategies and driving solutions that deliver targeted growth in support of the VP - Business Development.

    What you'll do

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Research and develop strategies for growth
    • Carry out special projects and other tasks as required.
    • Identify research and assess potential targets for JV's Alliances or Partnerships and prepare appropriate business case and recommendations.
    • Ability to develop solutions and consult to sell. Strong commercial and business acumen.
    • Deep understanding of business development and the interplay between contracts, operations and commercial outcomes.
    • Have broad based development experience gained at a high level in area such as services, outsourcing, consulting.
    • Demonstrate a record of achievement in strategically identifying, developing and delivering business opportunities that provide superior outcomes for stakeholders.

    What you'll need
    • Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent - MBA preferred; or years in progressively more responsible positions of financial/accounting/new business/M&A environment.
    • Broad knowledge and experience in financial and fiscal project planning gained at successive levels of responsibility in multiple areas of the heavy industrial industry.
    • Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance.
    • Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
