:Public BroadcastingTechnical Skills:Visual Design, Building Maintenance, Telecommunication SystemsProfessional Skills:Adaptability, Attention to Detail, Creativity, Critical ThinkingAudio/Visual Technician A) Job DutiesUnder the direction of the Audio Visual (AV) Manager, supports the AV operations of the Ohio Statehouse complex (, Capitol Square Review & Advisory Board, Special Events, Legislative Staff, OGT, Governor's Office; external customers).Operates A/V and related equipment (, sound equipment, projection equipment, lighting equipment, microphones, metering and test equipment); maintains all A/V equipment; performs tests on equipment to ensure equipment meets standards; participates in installation of AV equipment and displays to introduce AV conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, control systems, and presentation systems; performs preventive maintenance (, cleans, assesses needed repairs); performs all but most complex repairs; identifies need and makes recommendations for new equipment; maintains records, reports and inventory); sets up and removes A/V equipment for CSRAB special events and external customer special events; communicates with supervisor & other CSRAB staff, internal & external clients, vendors, and the public as directed/required to maintain a high level of customer service at the Ohio Statehouse.
Supports and coordinates current AV project demands (, equipment upgrades; AV infrastructure upgrades); oversees performance of AV systems and supports its operations (; Museum Gallery displays, racks of equipment); other duties as assigned.
Qualifications5yrs experience in planning, directing, developing and/or producing audio/visual integration projects and events. Or completion of a certification program (, CTS. Dante, QSC Qsys, AV programming, Creston – Treston). Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above.
Knowledge of agency policies and procedures*; communication and electronic equipment operation and maintenance; audio/visual programming production; public relations*; inventory control*.Skill in operation of audio/visual and related equipment.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; deal with many variables and determine specific action; work alone on most tasks; establish friendly atmosphere as coordinator of audio-visual operations within Statehouse complex.

Work schedule based on CSRAB events & Special Events Schedule. Weekends required. Bending, lifting, stooping and crawling under and around equipment will be necessary for this job.
