Data Engineer - St Albans, United States - Paysera
Description
Design and construct high-performance data processing systems;Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines for efficiency and scalability;
Implement automated data quality checks to ensure data integrity;
Manage and enhance data storage solutions, including both relational and NoSQL databases;
Develop and maintain ETL processes and integrate data from multiple sources;
Support data analysis, reporting, and visualization with BI dashboards and datasets;
Actively participate in the architectural council, contributing to the evolution of our data platform.
What we expect:
Knowledge of Python, DBT and ClickHouse SQL is a must-have;
Experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB and Elasticsearch;
Familiar with data processing tools like Apache Airflow, Pentaho;
Expertise in developing dashboards and reports;
Strong communication skills to articulate data concepts to a varied audience;
Excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle complex data challenges;
Collaborative mindset to work effectively within and across teams;
Adaptability in a fast-paced fintech environment;
Strategic thinking to contribute to long-term data initiatives.
Nice to have:
Experience as a Data Architect/ Data Modeler.
