    The Senior Design Engineer will coordinate all product development activities of new and current products. Additionally, they will provide support, input, and guidance on all product design and development activities.


    Position Requirements:
    Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor

    Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets

    Coordinate all product development activities, including new product development and product improvements

    Maintain CAD software database and ensure defined drawing criteria are met on all new and existing drawings

    Engineer innovative design concepts for new products utilizing CREO and other software tools

    Perform redesigns on existing products to improve manufacturability, reduce warranty, or reduce costs

    Provide support, input, and guidance on all product design and development activities

    Analyze customer service warranty and service data to identify areas of potential improvement

    Define, oversee, and help to perform testing and auditing of new products and product modifications

    Provide support to product manufacturing engineering and manufacturing during the "hand-off" of a new product

    Initiate and validate ECNs as they relate to product improvements and/or modifications

    Update and ensure accuracy of BOMs within ERP software

    Inspire, motivate, and lead others in utilizing Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results

    Organize materials at work station and department according to 6S standards

    Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

    5 or more years of hands-on product design experience

    Lean or similar continuous improvement knowledge and experience preferred

    Software experience:
    CAD/CAM, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Software
