Senior Solutions ArchitectLocation: North Carolina, NCJob PurposeThe position of Senior Solutions Architect will provide technical solutions to both new and existing customers in sales opportunities.

The individual will be working alongside both internal and external vendor Pre-Sales Product Engineers, Sales Representatives, and Solution Service Design teams in achieving the customer's technical and budgetary targets by designing a solution for our client's challenge, which fits the defined technical and budgetary requirements and constraints.

This position has a strong focus on IT infrastructure, hardware and software selection and design, and the role that the architected solution plays in supporting the customer's business systems.

Essential Functions25%

• Gather and document customer design requirements and perform business application analysis25%
• Provide in depth technical expertise (from a software and infrastructure perspective) on technologies spanning database, middleware, storage, network and servers, as well as ERP, BI, DW, and analytics.

Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the CBTS TSE community25% Lead all aspects of planning, documentation, proposal, and process development of customer solution offerings15% Lead development of large projects for post-install customer support for managed solutions during the sales process10% Leverage and manage approved third party vendors for custom solution offerings such as ERP, BI, DW, and analyticsExperienceOver 10 years of experienceVarious technologies including Servers, Storage, Networking, and Relational Database (RDBMS) environmentsDesigning and integrating multi-tier application, server, and relational database environmentsMiddleware and Enterprise ApplicationsUNIX and Windows Operating SystemsLeading large complex projectsTechnical background in x86 and Unix Server Technologies requiredEducationFour years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalentSpecial Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesITIL experience/certification is preferredPMP experience/certification is preferredTOGAF experience/certification is preferredSoftware vendor certification is preferred (Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, etc.)Server/Storage vendor certification is preferred (Oracle, IBM, HP, EMC, etc.)Server architecture (UNIX, Linux - x86)NetworkingDatabase (Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server)MiddlewareEnterprise applications (Informatica, Cognos, Infor)Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)Data warehousing (DW), Business Intelligence (BI)
