PCMX Consulting (PCMX) is a strategic finance and executive management consulting firm located in Boise, ID. At PCMX, we help founders raise capital fast by building all the fundraising tools they need. We have helped founders raise over $30mm in capital from family, friends, angels, and VCs. PCMX was founded in 2019 by Joel Camacho who has over 10 years of strategic finance experience. He began his career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and since then has been a VC investor, angel investor, and CFO/COO of tech startups.

Internship Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical undergraduate or graduate student to join our team as an Analyst Intern. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop essential skills in strategic finance used in investment banking and venture capital. You do not need to have previous experience in finance. You will receive training, guidance, and support throughout the entire internship. You need to be inquisitive, eager to learn, hardworking, and have a positive, go-getter attitude. The successful candidate will work closely with the founder to support various projects and initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct industry research to build competitive landscape analyses for clients.
• Conduct industry research to build Total Addressable Market (TAM) analyses for clients.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in financial modeling and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for financial modeling and other types of analyses.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with a major in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Needs to be comfortable working in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Prior internship or coursework related to finance is preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret financial data and trends is preferred but not required.
• Experience or interest in the startup ecosystem is a plus
