    Description

    SUMMARY

    Responsible for managing the Quality program of optical module manufacturing, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Engineering, IQC/ FQC, etc. Ensures internal processes and metrics align to create the highest product quality and competitive advantage. Position will hold responsible for strengthening quality systems and for determining the appropriate infrastructure and resources required to achieve business objectives. Additional responsibilities will include providing leadership and strategic direction to the quality function and ensuring proper interface of quality function to manufacturing, Research and Development, and marketing. Position will be responsible for building strong relationships with major corporate customers and effectively relating the quality function to the business as a whole.

    JOB DUTIES

    • Lead Internal Auditor for TL9000 and Primary Point of Contact to External Auditors
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis and provide Corrective Action Plans
    • Update and revise QMS documents
    • Monitor engineers for evaluation and execution of quality program and process control
    • Ensure and monitor implementation of engineering change and creating IQC/IPQC/OQC process control plan
    • CLCA implementation and evaluation
    • Create reliability test plans, discuss requirements with related departments, monitor the execution of reliability tests for quality and continuous improvement
    • Manage quality engineers with Manufacturing Operations to solve quality problems, efficiencies and meet competitive business deadlines
    • Work closely with product and project managers on the implementation of new projects, new product introduction and infrastructures including operational readiness, change preparation, change execution, and post-change QA validation
    • Establish methods to monitor product performance through all stages of manufacturing to quickly and efficiently identify problems and issues that affect quality and yield

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's in Engineering required, Master in Engineering preferred

    EXPERIENCE

    • 10 years' experience in engineering required, 15 years preferred
    • Excellent understanding of the following international standards: ISO 9001, TL 9000, GR-468, MIL-STD-883, AEC-Q102
    • Effectively communicate AOI's QMS documents and processes to auditors
    • Good understanding of the CLCA, RCCA, manufacturing and process control
    • Understanding QC/QA Tools including SPC
    • Previous semiconductor industry related experience desired
    • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is required
