- Learn beginning aspects of civil design through immersive drafting
- Develop and hone drafting skills on Civil design transportation (roadway) plans
- Prepare civil design calculations
- Perform construction observation
- Perform quantity takeoffs
- Perform reviews on in-house designs
- Perform special projects as needed
- Other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Project Engineer
- Pursuing an associate degree in drafting or enrolled in Autodesk certification courses
- AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze information, make decisions, and meet deadlines
- Documentation, planning, and organizational skills
- Capable of working in a construction environment under adverse working conditions, as required by managers and projects

The Civil Drafting Intern is an entry level drafting assistant role to support engineering staff with varying duties on a variety of projects. The position requires an individual who has a strong desire to pursue a career in civil drafting and should be enrolled in certification level or associates degree drafting program. Our intern opportunities include hands-on, real client experience which prepares you for full-time employment, and completing an internship with J-U-B gives you a leg up for our full-time positions post-graduation
