    Job Overview:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in various accounting tasks, including but not limited to, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities:

    1. General Ledger Maintenance:
      • Record daily transactions accurately into the general ledger system.
      • Assist in reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
      • Maintain supporting documentation for all journal entries and adjustments.
    2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
      • Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment.
      • Prepare and issue customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
      • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
    3. Financial Reporting Support:
      • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
      • Compile financial data and prepare schedules for internal and external reporting purposes.
      • Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies as needed.
    4. Expense Management:
      • Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
      • Ensure proper coding and classification of expenses in accordance with company policies.
      • Assist in monitoring and controlling expenses against budgetary limits.
    5. Payroll Processing Assistance:
      • Assist in processing payroll, including timekeeping, calculation of wages, and deductions.
      • Ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions and reconcile payroll accounts.
      • Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
    6. Audit and Compliance Support:
      • Assist with the coordination of external audits and regulatory examinations.
      • Maintain documentation and supporting schedules for audit inquiries.
      • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
    7. Ad Hoc Projects and Analysis:
      • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
      • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and prepare reports to support decision-making.
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
    • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
