    Description

    About the Job:

    As the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of Maintenance, Engineering, and Tool and Die departments in alignment with company policies, manufacturing standards, product requirements, quality standards, and production schedules.

    • Plan, coordinate, and direct new product introductions.
    • Maximize the effectiveness during implementation of planned items.
    • Communicate improvement ideas to upper management staff.
    • Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, development, compensation, motivation, and leadership of engineering and maintenance team members.
    • Conduct comprehensive cost reduction studies and analyze part designs to determine economical manufacturing methods.

    Lead the maintenance activities, approve budgetary items, and prepare cost estimates for equipment and labor.

    • Review and approve engineering documents and serve as a liaison with the parent company's engineering department.
    • Implement effective procedures and policies for maintenance and tool & die departments.
    • Ensure environmental management system compliance within the department.

    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in maintenance operations associated with various systems.
    • Experience in automotive industry and working knowledge of the Toyota Production System preferred.

    Language Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

    Computer/Software:

    • Experience with integrated computer programs, CAD programs, and Microsoft Office.

    Training Requirements:

    Must be willing to successfully complete training for various tools, equipment, software, and systems.

    Work Environment/Conditions:

    Office:

    Open Office Environment with moderate noise level.

    Plant:

    • Standard automotive plant environment with moderate to high noise level.
    • Personal Protective Equipment may be required in designated areas.

    Travel:

    0-25%

    The team member is required to talk, hear, and see while performing the duties. Physical capabilities include walking, sitting, standing, and occasional lifting.
