- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop, implement, and oversee financial planning processes for the manufacturing plant.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide financial forecasts and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize plant efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory management processes, including inventory valuation, cycle counting, and reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Financial Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings or recommendations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the manufacturing plant, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and objectives.
- Monitor performance against budget and provide regular updates and analysis to management.
- Prepare rolling forecasts to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making and improve plant profitability.
- Collaborate with corporate finance team to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
