    (High-Needs School) This position involves delivering comprehensive speech therapy and language development services for students within the autism spectrum disorders and collaborating with educational and therapeutic teams.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Conduct assessments related to speech, language, and communication
    • Develop treatment plans, evaluate progress, offer guidance to families and students
    • Communicate effectively with team members, parents, and professionals
    • Adhere to ethical standards and school policies
    • Maintain accurate documentation and reports
    • Manage IEP goals and student files
    • Participate in meetings and professional development activities
    • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and assist in inclusive environments
    • Provide guidance on Augmentative Communication devices
    • Supervise university students during clinical sessions
    • Abide by company policies
    • Perform other assigned duties as needed
    Some other responsibilities may be assigned by supervisors.

    Knowledge and Skills
    • Effective communication of assessments and treatment plans to various stakeholders
    • Expertise in autism spectrum disorders
    • Application of relevant diagnostic tools and procedures
    • Knowledge of maintaining facility standards
    • Familiarity with sensory and behavioral strategies
    • Understanding of child development theory
    • Proficiency in using relevant software
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Organizational abilities
    Minimum Job Requirements
    • Master's degree in Speech Pathology; certification in speech therapy and state licensure
    Classification
    The Speech Language Pathologist is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

    Salary
    Compensation is based on education and experience.

    Calendar
    Follows the Day School Staff Calendar.

    Conditions of Employment
    • Required: physical, drug screening, and background check
    • Must have professional credentials
    • PCM training is mandatory. Physical fitness is essential for this role.

    • Job is primarily indoors within a school
    • Requires physical movement and some level of risk
    • Noise levels may vary
    • Various physical tasks are part of the job
    Annual Performance Review
