    **Education and Work Experience**:

    Required: High School diploma.

    Required: Must have at least 6 months office experience.

    Preferred: 6 months experience working in a social service position.

    **Scope of Position**:

    Under the supervision of the Twin Falls Service Center Coordinator, participate in helping ensure clients receive social service assistance. Using Salvation Army vehicle, transport and pick up donations as required. Will work with the Service Center Coordinator as event support for seasonal and fundraising projects. This position also provides facilities maintenance and janitorial services on a regular basis.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

    Social Services

    Make food boxes.

    Maintain inventory of items available for social service distribution.

    Track in-kind donations.

    Keep all food and food storage areas sanitary, organized and tidy in compliance with government agency standards and the best practices.

    Answer phones and take detailed messages.

    In the absence of the Service Center Coordinator manage the social service food bank.

    Will provide support/backup to the Service Center Director for all social service programs which includes interviewing, referring to other/additional services, and providing financial and material assistance for clients in need.

    Assist in maintaining social service client records according to Salvation Army policy and adhere to file retention policies as directed by the coordinator.

    Assist the Service Center Coordinator with participation in community events as assigned.

    Seasonal duties and events include Back to School events, Christmas Kettles, Summer Camp and other activities as required.

    General support to Christmas Red Kettle, Food, and Toy drives.

    Assist in making holiday food and toy boxes.

    Assist with holiday distribution.

    Assist with set-up and tear-down at special events and functions.

    Driving

    Responsible for regular food donation pickups.

    Seasonally taking out and retrieving red kettles and kettle workers.

    Seasonally taking out and retrieving food and toy donation bins.

    Facility Maintenance

    Provide routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting of all interior and exterior building surfaces and furnishings.

    Clean and sanitize equipment and building as needed.

    Clean windows and glass on a weekly basis and as needed.

    Arrange tables and chairs for various meetings and functions per the direction of Service Center Coordinator.

    Regular removal of trash, litter and recyclables.

    Mop hard floors, clean commodes and urinals, the restrooms daily and as needed.

    Ensure that paper product dispensers are continually stocked with product. Place cleaning and paper product orders through designated personnel.

    Make minor repairs (E.g., Paint touch-up, patch walls, fix leaks, reset garbage disposal, and other light handiwork.

    Escort and be liaison between contractors/vendors and the Service Center Coordinator.

    Regular cleaning and sweeping of exterior areas including sidewalks, paved areas, and landscaping.

    Maintain appropriate inventories of cleaning products, supplies and products such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soaps throughout the facility.

    **Physical Activity**:
