    Job Details:

    Title: Staff Accountant

    Location: Parsippany, NJ 07054

    Duration: Direct Hire

    Salary: Dependent on experience and commensurate with current compensation.

    Work Schedule: 1st Shift, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM

    Job Description:

    • A Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of a companys reports and statements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Managing the companys financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts, and financial assets.
    • Reconcile bank statements.
    • Organize and update financial records.
    • Oversee Payroll and Vendor Payments
    • Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
    • Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
    • Prepare and file Sales Tax returns.
    • Prepare cash flow, financial forecasting, and risk analysis.
    • Prepare documentation for external auditors.
    • Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.

    Education/Experience/Skills:

    • Degree in Accounting. CPA Preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years experience as a Staff Accountant.
    • Experience in filing Sales Tax returns.
    • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Professional experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis.
    • Confidentiality and integrity.
