Job summary
An Inclusion Support Staff person works with individuals of varied ages and disabilities in existing recreational programs offered by the parks and recreation departments participating in Municipal Partners for Inclusive Recreation.
Possess a positive attitude and a desire to work with people with disabilities in a Recreation environment.
Demonstrate patience.
Demonstrate creativity initiative enthusiasm dependability punctuality Interact with and work as a team-player with a program participant his/her family peers & program staff Willingness to be actively involved & participate in the program Willingness to acquire new skills Ability to develop rapport w/program participant & everyone involved
In programAbility provide safe fun environment all Perform additional duties assigned
- Must responsible person years age older valid driver license means get program site s Experience working people disabilities strong desire gain experience Good knowledge basic customer service Ability physically active mobile which may include lifting pushing needed Stamina actively participate w.program participant s walking running standing sitting positions Ability use variety communication methods i.e sign language picture schedule Cognitive Skills Required
