    Description

    Join Our Team as a Certified Surgical Technologist at BayCare!

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in our perioperative team, ensuring a sterile environment and assisting in various technical duties.

    Position Description

    • Perform technical support in the perioperative period under the direction of a RN
    • Prepare equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients for procedures
    • Assist in specimen preparation or disposal
    • Manage inventory of sterile supplies and may assist in patient transport

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR 5 years of acute care Surgical Tech experience from a military or hospital-based training program
    • Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT
    • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

    Skills

    • Proficiency in sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up
    • Strong interpersonal skills
