* * *Please Note*: This position is Part Timeat 32 hours per week, Thursday, second shift (4PM-12AM) and Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, third shift (12AM-8AM).
*_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): _* · Patrols all buildings, grounds and adjacent areas of the hospital at regular intervals and guards against trespass, theft, fire and damage to property.
· Maintains order among visitors and staff; maintains motor vehicle traffic controls on hospital grounds including parking, speeding and other traffic conditions and takes necessary measures to prevent unauthorized use of hospital roads and parking facilities.
· Performs security duties such as screening visitors, directing traffic, and enforcing parking controls · Provides personal protection to individuals as required including but not limited to, searching for missing goods and persons, conducting surveillance, and investigating complaints and reports of suspicious activities.
· Assist in case of emergencies such as heavy snowstorms, internal or external disaster, and calling for professional assistance.· Facilitates in-service trainings as needed on fire and crime prevention, and basic safety standards and practices for hospital personnel/staff and outside agencies utilizing hospital buildings and/or grounds.
· Coordinates the maintenance of hospital firefighting equipment, alarm systems and other safeguards; reports defects and request repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements.
· Monitors hospital switchboard, gauges and alarm indicator panels; takes necessary action in event of malfunction or alarm, including system resets.
