Provides leadership and corrective action when necessary while supervising the Resident Advocates and Care Management Specialists in the day-to-day activities of the Residential Unit. In doing so the position provides for the safety, security, and control of the residents and the facility during all shifts. The position supports the therapeutic mission of the facility and works in cooperation with the counselors, case managers, and supervising authorities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lead CMS will be responsible for the following:
· Creating work schedules and ensuring coverage of all shifts
· Design shift duty assignments
· Finding replacements in the event of call-offs
· Participates in the system for on-call duties as outlined in agency policies and procedures.
· Ensures supervision of clients completing cleaning chores
· Apprise supervising authorities of AWOLS and major incidents
· Assist in daily functions of the residential treatment units
· Supervises head counts, contraband and beg bug procedures
· Supervises their assigned CMS staff
· Other Duties as Assigned
Skills and Knowledge Required:
· Motivational interviewing/behavior management/reflective listening
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Promptness and ability to meet deadlines
Credentials / Academic Requirements:
Salary: $ $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
