Responsibilities include application development, delivering high quality code and performing code reviews. Ideal candidates have expertise in building RestfulAPI's using Springboot and Java and deploying workloads to Kubernetes/Openshift Container Platform (OCP). Analy z e, design, program, test, and deploy new user stories and features with high quality (security, reliability, operations) to production
Tends to Associate Application Engineers by providing learning tasks as well as work related tasks, directs the work of Senior Associate Application Engineers , and helps them continue to grow
Contributes to and leads tec hnology communities at Discover

Bachelors – Computer Science or related
~3+ Years – Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related
~ Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud
Experience in the containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and Openshift Container Platform (OCP)
Experience using in cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
Automation mindset as it pertains to testing and build/deploy concepts
CI/CD Pipeline experience via Jenkins and Github Actions
Java, Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud) , Restful API's, Micro services, Kubernetes/Docker, Jenkins, Openshift Container Platform (OCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Datadog APM, Gatling/ Jmeter, Github
