    PURPOSE OF ROLE:


    The Central Region Technical Service Engineer role is to assist customers (OEM's, plastic processors, and captive molders) & the CPA Central Region Commercial Team with plastic resin selection, processing, and datasheet management.

    The Central Region includes Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, western Kentucky, and all of Canada.
    Candidate should live within the Central Region geography.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    Work closely in a team environment with the CPA Central Region Commercial Organization with resin selection, performance data, and processing.

    Provide technical assistance to targeted customers with material selection, product development, and processing.

    Approach the sales & development process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by successful utilization of customer centric selling skills.

    Work with the Application Development Team on prospecting new customers and new markets.
    Be a positive influence on the entire CPA Commercial Organization
    Manage and execute all third-party testing for the Commercial Tech Team
    Create and maintain CRM data and sales statistics as required.
    Work with Technical and Customer Service team to ensure customer requirements and satisfaction is met.
    Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels of the customer and with all the customers functional groups.
    KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
    Complex thinking skills in translating customer needs into solutions.
    Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
    Professional presence, including excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
    Broad knowledge of solutions, materials, and processing. Self-motivated and able to work autonomously on a day-to-day basis.
    Team player.
    Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    Strong organizational skills required.
    Minimal training and oversight required.
    Strong computer skills, proficiency with PowerPoint MS Word & Excel and Outlook.
    Degree from an accredited college or university required: technical discipline preferred (plastic engineering, polymer engineering or chemical engineering).
