Senior Tax Associate - Warwick, United States - Magna Hospitality Group

What you will be doing:

• Assisting with all aspects of the investment tax function, including the preparation and review of various allocation schedules, calculations, tax returns, federal and state income tax compliance, and other tax-related deliverables
• Supporting the technical review and analysis of transactions, preparing supporting documentation and disclosures
• Estimating taxable income for limited and joint venture partners
• Conducting research on accounting and tax-related matters
• Managing responses to tax matters while tracking them appropriately
• Maintaining and reconciling tax depreciation and amortization schedules
• Completing other tasks and projects as directed by the Director of Tax

The ideal candidate for this position:

• 2-5 years of relevant public accounting and/or private equity experience
• Experience with partnership/corporate tax (1065 and 1120)
• Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to understand complex organizational and ownership structures and allocations
• Strong research, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with CCH Pro FA and Investran is a plus
