    Description

    Overview:
    This position is for the Mission Systems and Trainers, Bangor, WA D705.

    The Test Engineering Supervisor will provide direct support for Mission Systems and Trainers at COMSUBDEVRON 5 in Bangor, WA.

    The Test Engineering Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision of Test Engineers engaged in submarine maintenance availabilities and in the operation, training and maintenance of multiple specialized Navy trainers.

    The Supervisor oversees the Fleet Training of personnel on specialized systems.

    The Supervisor works with the West Coast Program Lead and for the Site Manager to execute established program goals, to include cost control, strategic planning & scheduling, and execution of SEAWOLF class projects for Navy customers.

    The position will act with various Groton and offsite offices for planning and execution of Fleet training requirements and maintenance on a submarine platform.

    The position will be responsible for all tasked projects and other duties, as required. The candidate will interface with Groton management of equivalent functions and with various NAVSEA Program Offices.



    Qualifications:


    Required:
    An active Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

    Candidate must be willing to undergo a Counterintelligence Polygraph exam.

    A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Sciences

    Supervisory experience, may be in an acting role or permanent position. Navy Chief Petty Officer or Officer experience satisfies this requirement.

    10-15 years of relevant work experience in submarine shipbuilding or ship repair is required. Retired Navy submariners satisfy this requirement.


    Preferred:
    Prior experience related to SEAWOLF Class ship maintenance and/or modernization.

    Prior submarine training experience to include development of new training materials.


    Skills:
    Candidate must be comfortable communicating with all levels of management both internal and external to Electric Boat.

    Candidate must be able to present material in a training environment.

    Candidate must be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.


    Ideal candidate would be familiar with Electric Boat systems and software such as SPARS, Oracle, Document Databank and Lotus Notes or have a demonstrated capability and willingness to learn these programs quickly.

    The candidate is comfortable with change and able to adapt to a changing environment.

    The candidate must possess strong analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills.
