Bark Tree and Land is seeking a dependable, hard-working Groundsman to join our team in Evansville, IN. As a Groundsman, you'll play a key role in supporting our climbers/cutters, helping to keep every job site safe, clean, and running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience in the tree service industry, with plenty of room to grow your skills and advance into higher-paying positions over time.

Responsibilities:

• Assist climbers and cutters by managing rigging lines, ropes, and gear.
• Safely operate wood chippers and other ground-level equipment.
• Help plan and set up job sites, including creating safety zones and staging equipment.
• Clear brush, limbs, and debris to keep the worksite organized and hazard-free.
• Support limb lowering and debris removal during technical removals.
• Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and crew instructions to ensure smooth operations.
• Represent Bark Tree and Land with a professional and courteous attitude on every property.

Requirements:

• Previous tree service, landscaping, or construction experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
• Ability to perform physical labor, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn basic rigging and climbing support skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Must follow safety procedures and show initiative on the job.
