    Description

    Job Summary:
    The Casino Cashier provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to players. Is required to be accountable for the Poker Bank while on duty. Handles the banking needs of the Poker Dealers and Poker customers. Handles the administrative and clerical details of the Poker Bank. Is responsible for handling the phone receptionist duties of a shift. Handles any assigned tasks from the Poker Floor Supervisor.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Safeguards company assets.
    • Adheres to compliance of all Gaming regulations and any other governing agencies where applicable.
    • Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.
    • Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests in a confidential manner.
    • Creates teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions.
    • Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
    • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

    Qualifications:

    • High school graduate or GED is required.
    • 2 years money handling experience, 1 year cage experience a plus.
    • A proven proficiency with computers, with some knowledge of computer keyboard, is required.
    • Must be able to enter data, read, and interpret output from a computer.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods.
    • Must be willing to learn all phases of Cage activity.
    • Must have good math skills.
    • Must have excellent guest and human relations skills.
    • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
    • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
    • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
    • Must read write and speak English.

    Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
    Must be able sit and stand long periods of time.

    Must be able to maneuver to work inside and continuously maneuver in and around assigned table in the Pit department during entire shift, with regular interval breaks.

    Must be able to respond calmly and handle multiple customer demands in a fast paced environment. Responds to visual and aural cues. Must be able to memorize game rules and procedures.

    Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers, and collecting and paying out bets.

    Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money. Must be able to accurately balance chip bank at the beginning and end of shift. Must have excellent vision (including peripheral) to protect the games. Must be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small area. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
