Our devoted and patient-centered Occupational Therapists evaluate patients, assisting them in enhancing basic motor skills and cognitive abilities, and adapting to permanent function loss by teaching daily living and work-related tasks.

They also aid patients in selecting suitable adaptive equipment and assistive devices when needed. This role fulfills these duties while embodying company values in daily operations.

This position is on an As Needed basis.

Essential Duties:

- Conduct patient assessments, establish treatment plans and goals, evaluate treatment effectiveness, make adjustments as necessary considering the educational and cultural needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant others, and communicate effectively to optimize care outcomes

- Develop discharge plans.

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient needs, treatment adjustments, and progress; adhere to relevant standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines in patient care.

- Create a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Identify safety risks and implement appropriate measures. Adhere to safety and Infection Control standards.
- May be called to work in severe weather conditions and other staffing crises.

Qualifications:
- Preferably two years of direct patient occupational therapy experience
- Experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting is advantageous, recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Active Occupational Therapist state licensure
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification required.
