- Utilize client work prints and electromagnetic locate equipment to safely and accurately locate underground fiber and copper facilities.
- Collaborate with the DRG operations team and underground subcontractors to schedule locates in KY and GA, and be flexible to travel between both locations.
- Maintain accurate records of utility locations to include redlines and photographs.
- Conduct a safety assessment at each job site to identify potential hazards or issues.
- Must be able to speak in depth to the concepts and methodologies of precision electromagnetic locating, and be highly proficient in utilizing equipment provided by DRG
- May perform other fiber construction operational duties as assigned, to include working with an aerial placement crew.
- Ability to travel for work
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, bend, reach and to move or carry items weighing up to 25 lbs
- Proficient use of field-based computers and tablets
- Ability to proficiently use a handheld/backpack GPS unit and locate utility poles and underground utility lines accurately
- Knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Forms)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings related to utility systems
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and in various hours of the day or night and holidays as required
- Electric utility and telecommunications experience required

Candidates must be comfortable working full time with a minimum of hours per week. Compensation based on experience.
