    Job Overview:

    The Chief Accounting Officer is a key executive responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions for Leslie's. This position will require experience in accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management. The Chief Accounting Officer plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial information, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization's overall financial health. The Chief Accounting Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic financial management within the organization. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to contribute to Leslie's overall success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, tax laws, SEC regulations, and other industry-specific standards.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.
    • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive risk management strategies.
    • Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
    • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
    • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions to enhance financial controls and reporting.
    • Implement and leverage technology solutions to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Communicate financial performance and key metrics to internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and regulatory authorities.
    • Serve as a liaison between the finance department and other departments within the organization.
    • Lead the financial due diligence process for potential mergers and acquisitions.
    • Provide financial expertise and analysis to support decision-making related to M&A activities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
    • Extensive experience in financial management and accounting, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Experience in managing audits and interacting with external auditors.
    • Knowledge of financial systems and proficiency in utilizing financial software.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills in building and managing high-performing teams.
