    Position Overview:

    The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

    Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist the physicians, nurses and other technical and administrative staff in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout the facility.

    Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACSPerform all imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws and ensure the physician on duty is notified of the resultsPerform basic clinical procedures under the direction of the physician and/or nurse on dutyCollect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulationsMaintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables to perform quality testingPerform all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipmentPerform Quality Control as established by this laboratoryPerform Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis periodically as established by this facilityPerform all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this position and document these activities for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or the Laboratory DirectorPerform duties as ER Technician as neededMaintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables xhmxlyz to perform quality testingPerform all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipmentTravel to all facility locations as requiredHigh School diploma or GED, requiredGraduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology, requiredAssociate's degree in Radiology, preferredCertified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state in which practicing requiredRegistered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography requiredRegistered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography, preferred, with the following exceptions1+ years of emergency room experience, preferred~ Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer's hardware/software and PACS~ Position requires fluency in English, written and oral communication
